Online reputation management is part of our day-to-day lives as consumers. In  a recent survey that was conducted amongst online users, 90% said that they rely on online reviews and recommendations to choose a local business. Many of our decisions are made with the help of what strangers online have to say about their experiences and what they liked and dislike about a product or service. Even though these people are strangers, we put so much trust into their word and assessments. Parents of young children are constantly looking at reviews to calm their nerves about what is best for their child. This is especially true when they are looking into the best healthcare professionals for their child. This is why online reputation management is crucial to maintain because it can decide whether or not you will drive in business.  Online reputation management may be controlled by online reviews which may fall out of your business’ control. Your online reputation management is as good as word-of-mouth marketing. What other people have to say about your brand may be just as important, if not more important than what you yourself have to say. This being said, be vigilant and stay current with what is being said online.

The online reputation management system of healthcare professionals is incredibly detrimental to their career. Young parents are balls of nerves when it comes to the wellbeing of their children. From the survey mentioned earlier, 72% of parents stated that they trust online reviews and recommendations just as much as they trust personal recommendations from people within their social circle/network.

If you know that a customer is satisfied with your service or product, it would be useful/helpful to your online reputation management if you asked them to write a review for you online on your website or any relevant online forums.
